With R2025a, MATLAB completed a transition to Javascript-based graphics rendering and no longer ships a Java installation.
This Issue is to suggest your team assess running ImageJ-MATLAB using MATLAB R2025b or later (R2025b was a quality-focused release, and is recommended over R2025a) and then update the ImageJ-MATLAB installation instructions accordingly.
I am not an expert on Java configurations, but it may be as simple as following your earlier instructions prior to R2017b, since that involved a switch to a separately installed Java. Should any questions/complications arise, you could reach me offline or post them here, and I can aim to pull in more expert technical guidance.
