Repeaters are generally stationary and having networking support on them would be great for monitoring and ways to gather statistics. With an ESP32-S3, there should be quite sufficient CPU, flash and ram for this, so I guess it's just not been a need yet? I've been working with systems monitoring for 20+ years and I'd love to see statuses and graphs from those units. Adding this to companions would also be nice, but I guess that's of lower priority.
Edit: In addition to monitoring, it'd be very useful to be able to communicate over network like what's done over bluetooth today, so that equipment can be connected to a repeater without the hassle of having its own radio.
