Caption settings from Android dont apply

The app doesnt seem to import the caption settings and offers no option to customize them As they are they take up a quarter of the screen and without being able to modify transparancy they also block the video really.

The caption settings from the accessibility settings. They don't seem to get properly imported by the app. The size, transparency, font etc don't get applied.
