Role Overview

The UX Engineer serves as the user advocate in the development pipeline, transforming business requirements and project plans into intuitive, accessible, and engaging user experiences. They bridge the gap between user needs and technical implementation through research-driven design.

Core Responsibilities

User Research & Analysis

  • Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability testing sessions
  • Analyze user behavior data and feedback to inform design decisions
  • Create detailed user personas and journey maps
  • Perform competitive analysis and industry best practice research
  • Validate design assumptions through iterative testing

Experience Design & Prototyping

  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
  • Design user interface layouts and interaction patterns
  • Develop comprehensive design systems and style guides
  • Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG guidelines)
  • Optimize designs for various devices and screen sizes

Design Documentation & Specification

  • Create detailed design specifications for development teams
  • Document interaction patterns, animations, and micro-interactions
  • Maintain design system documentation and component libraries
  • Produce user flow diagrams and task analysis documentation
  • Develop content strategy and information architecture

Collaboration & Validation

  • Work closely with stakeholders to validate design concepts
  • Facilitate design review sessions and incorporate feedback
  • Collaborate with Tech Lead on technical feasibility of designs
  • Support Quality Assurance with design validation criteria
  • Conduct post-launch usability assessments
