It would be useful to have support for JMX transport, in addition to the native management protocol. Compared to the HTTP transport (per #94), this is from my experience much more involved (though not more complex), so this has a lower priority. I expect the limitations of the JMX transport to be similar to the limitations of the HTTP transport or worse.
