Presents are falling from the sky! Try to steal the presents from the other players and have more presents than the other players at the end of the match!
Use funny modifiers to let more presents fall from the sky or make the match last longer
The name "Geschenke Geier" comes from the german Gifts Vultures, this name is because you steal the presents from the other players, this might get to very funny situations, as you might be steeling presents directly in front of another player.

This was a little UE5 C++ practice project to get more familiar with Multiplayer Games in UE5, since this was my first game planned with multiplayer built in from the start of the development. Additionally I made this game to play with my friends in the winter break to have a little bit of fun.
As I already really like UE5, I also liked the way multiplayer in UE5 is handled, like everything in the Engine, it feels really polished to use. What I disliked is the default UE5 Third Person template which by default has enabled Virtual Shadow Maps & Nanite. In my experience, disabling those (especially for Low Poly) really improves the performance of the game. After disabling VSM & Nanite, the game started more quickly, the runtime performance was better & I got rid of stupid on screen warnings from UE
Currently, I don't have any prebuild builds. If you want to play the game, you have to build UE 5.7 from source and build the dedicated server & client. Prebuild Windows & Linux files will come soon.
- All assets are custom made
- Animations are taken from the UE 5.4 Third Person Sample Project
Caution
You can use code & assets for your own projects without copyright notice or anything. If you want to use the animations, check for the policies from Epic Games, as I'm not sure how they handle that.
A lot of presents can spawn, especially with the x5 modifier! Including golden presents...
