This repository has all the files you need to comply with DGEC Rules of Behavior. Feel free to copy these files and (after editing for your specific use case) add them to your repository or use this repository as a template when creating a new repsoitory.
All DGEC repos must have contact information for the repo authors. In this template repo, that information is contained within the DESCRIPTION file. If you do not wish to have a DESCRIPTION file, that is fine but you must include contact information for the authors in the README or elsewhere.
Although there are no strict repository naming requirements, you are encouraged to choose short, unique, informative names that are aligned with any coding language or publication repository (e.g. CRAN) specific conventions. For more information, see the IMD SharePoint on naming repositories.
Repositories created by or for the Inventory and Monitoring Division on NPS must include the following keywords ("topics"): nrss, imd (and as many other keywords as you like - your region, network, and/or park unit codes are likely candidates). See the IMD SharePoint pages for how to add keywords to a repository.
For more information, please reference the DOI DGEC SharePoint Page and the IMD DGEC Best Practices Page.
NPS Inventory and Monitoring Division (IMD) staff with questions about requesting new repositories or migrating existing repositories should contact Rob Baker.
