I found the fix in http://shapeshed.com/writing-cross-platform-node/. It says https://www.npmjs.com/package/module-smith takes care of it. |

I've found several of them: https://www.npmjs.com/package/home-path In fact, the first link sais recent versions of Node.js include the os.homedir() method to get this. |

I haven't tested this yet. I will have a windows computer in a couple days if you want me to test it first.
