About The Project

This repository contains a semantic website created for Sintang Pusa Organization in Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP). The project focuses on implementing proper HTML formatting and structure following semantic web principles.

Note
This website is currently a work in progress.

• The website is not yet optimized for different screen sizes (e.g., mobile, tablet, etc.). Responsive design will be implemented in future updates.
• The content used in this project is temporary and does not reflect the final data. Proper data will be added once available.

Features

Sections:

• Navigation Bar: Contains the logo, main navigation links, and a "Join Our Mission" call-to-action button.
• Hero Section: Features a prominent headline "For the Cats of PUP, We Serve" with a description and image of a cat named Pogi.
• Story Section: Explains the organization's history, founded in 2019 as a Facebook page that grew into a movement after the loss of a tabby cat named Pogi.
• Goals Section: Showcases six main objectives.
• Events Section: Displays a table of upcoming events with dates, locations, and descriptions.
• Officers Section: Presents the leadership team with their roles
• Join Us Section: Call-to-action area encouraging visitors to help protect PUP's cats with a link to the Facebook page.
• Footer: Contains the logo, tagline, social media links (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Email), and standard footer links.

Technologies

• HTML: The standard markup language for creating the structure and content of the website.
• CSS: Used for styling the website, including layout, colors, fonts, and responsiveness.

Deployment and Hosting

• GitHub Pages: A free hosting service provided by GitHub to deploy and host static websites directly from a GitHub repository.

Development Tools

• Git: Distributed version control system for tracking code changes and collaboration.
• GitHub: Platform for hosting Git repositories, enabling collaborative development and version control.
• VS Code: A lightweight but powerful source code editor used for writing and editing HTML and CSS.

Fervicmar Lagman		perbik	Writer, Designer: Fervicmar contributes to creating the reflection paper of our group, classifying tags, and designing the paper.
Hans Christian Queja		HansQueja	HTML Structure: Hans is one of the developers responsible for structuring the HTML. He structured the events and officers section and acted as our representative for this assignment.
